Tops Digital Security’s Newest DVR Technology Selected by Golden Nugget Casino

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., July 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Global ePoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEPT - News), a leading manufacturer of surveillance security technologies, announced today that the Golden Nugget Casino in Laughlin, Nevada has selected the newest MPEG4 compression technology offered by Tops Digital Security. Tops is Global ePoint’s wholly owned enterprise video surveillance subsidiary. The casino is adding to its existing digital video recording (DVR) system purchased from Tops two years ago. Tops’ new compression technology provides a higher quality resolution but with smaller file sizes, thus reducing the need for larger bandwidth to transfer data.

This innovative feature enables our existing customers to benefit from upgrades and add our cutting edge technology as budgets permit, without having to replace existing systems. In addition, our software upgrade program is ongoing as new technologies are constantly being developed in Tops' three R&D locations. Our customers always have the option to upgrade to the latest technology available."
