Global ePoint’s Subsidiary Awarded $426,000 Contract to Provide Upgraded Video Surveillance for Rapidly Growing California-based Casino

Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa to Purchase Enhanced Security System From Company’s Tops Subsidiary

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 29, 2006 — Global ePoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEPT – News), a leading manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, law enforcement, commercial and industrial markets, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary Tops Digital has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $426,000 to upgrade the video surveillance system at the new $250 million Morongo Casino, Resort and Spa located in Cabazon, California. The Morongo Resort has 310 deluxe rooms and suites, many with spectacular mountain vistas and canyon views, and six secluded casitas at the oasis, each with a private lounging pool.

The Morongo Casino has finalized plans for upgrading the surveillance and security system initially provided by Tops to larger units for longer storage of recorded data. Tops will be increasing the 3.75 Terabyte systems to 6.0 Terabytes. In addition, Casino Morongo will also be expanding the system and adding additional Tops equipment. Tops’ scalability and expandability allows customers to cost-effectively add modules to the system to meet expansion requirements. Another benefit of Tops’ equipment is that the customer receives the latest software updates without having to replace software, incurring additional costs. This ensures that the customer will always have the latest cutting edge CCTV technology.

Prior to selecting Tops’ equipment, the Digital Committee of Casino Morongo conducted a two-year study of all existing DVR’s available in the marketplace, as well as actually having demo units installed in their surveillance room for live testing and evaluation. They tested for reliability, ease of use, features and functionality. The high quality resolution with small file sizes of the Tops equipment made large capacity storage more affordable. Also, due to the user friendly interface, operators are able to be trained in a very short period of time which reduces start-up costs.

"We are pleased that Morongo Casino has selected Tops to provide video surveillance and security," said Toresa Lou, Global ePoint’s Chief Executive Officer. "Tops has been particularly strong in providing innovative security solutions to the gaming industry, and Morongo’s decision to upgrade its system reflects the positive user experience it has had. We believe that Tops, which we recently acquired, will contribute significantly to the growth we expect this year."
