Global ePoint’s Aviation Division Completes First In-Flight Entertainment Installations for Boeing 757 and 767 Aircraft

Supplemental Type Certificate Creates Opportunities for Installation on 3,000 Aircraft Using Older Technology

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — June 13, 2006 — Global ePoint Inc. (NASDAQ: GEPT - News) a leading provider of security and aviation solutions for the aviation, law enforcement, government and commercial and industrial markets, announced today that its aviation division, Global AirWorks, has completed the first installation for Supplemental Type Certification of its InFlight Entertainment Retrofit Solution for Boeing 757 and 767’s used by Avianca Airlines. Global AirWorks expects to complete a total of six Boeing 757's and six Boeing 767’s for the airline. The Company estimates that there are an additional 3,000 aircraft using older technology.

The Global AirWorks retrofit solution is a new proprietary 17-inch wide screen LCD replacement for the older Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT’s) mounted in the aisles of the aircraft. Additionally, the System allows for the ceiling-mounted projector system to be removed along with the bulkhead screens, and replaced with a AirWorks 32-inch bulkhead LCD and a digital Audio/Video File Server.

"The retrofit solution replacing older technology projector systems is designed to generate fuel savings, along with superior viewing quality of the latest LCD technology with 178 degrees of viewing angle," stated Ricky Frick, President of Global AirWorks. "The removal of over 400 pounds of weight with a differential weight of approximately 300 pounds provides an annual fuel savings of an estimated $394,000 per aircraft," added Frick.

It is anticipated that due to the superior quality of the AirWorks designed LCD’s, fuel savings, decrease in inventory cost due to part number commonality, and a decrease in annual maintenance cost, that the AirWorks Retrofit Solution, that is the first to be completed, will be a highly desirable replacement solution for the Boeing 757/767/777 and Airbus A300/A310/A330 IFE market place. Currently, there are 2,018 757/767 aircraft in operation in the world today.
