Global ePoint’s Global AirWorks Division Receives Validation from Mexico’s Direccion General de Aeronautical Civil

Mexican Passenger Aircraft Must Install Cockpit Door Video Surveillance Beginning February 1, 2006

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — Nov. 28, 2005 — Global ePoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEPT – News), a leading manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, law enforcement, commercial and industrial markets, announced today that the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC) of Mexico has mandated the use of cockpit door video surveillance on all passenger carrying aircraft under Mexican registration beginning February 1, 2006. Separately, Global ePoint’s aviation division, Global AirWorks, has also received formal validation of its Cockpit Door Surveillance Sys tem (CDSS) from the DGAC. AirWorks anticipates that Mexican installations will begin in the first quarter 2006.

"Both of these events are very significant for Global ePoint. With its mandate, Mexico joins a growing list of countries around the world to require cockpit door surveillance. As this list grows, it becomes increasingly likely that all of the world’s airlines will install CDSS systems due to the global nature of air travel as well as the need for consistency between nations," stated Ricky Frick, President of AirWorks. "In addition, we are honored to receive a formal validation of our technology from the DGAC, which adds an important nation to a list that already includes the US, Germany, and England."

AirWorks has already completed demonstrations of its systems to every Mexican airline, which have included discussions of hardware operation and features, installation, operating history with other airlines, reliability and service options. "These demonstrations gave us the opportunity to emphasize our manufacturing and installation capabilities," added Frick. "Since airlines maximize revenue by minimizing each airplane’s out-of-service time, it’s extremely important for us to quickly deliver and install a quality product. Unlike other manufacturers, our system has been designed for quick installation, which we can complete during the overnight layover of an aircraft."

AirWorks is currently the only video surveillance system provider that deploys teams worldwide to complete installations overnight, thereby providing airlines with the added advantage of not interrupting normal schedules. Since its inception in 1994, AirWorks has completed over 8,000 aircraft cabin and cockpit modifications.
