Global ePoint’s Aviation Division to Unveil New Product Lines at World Airline Entertainment Association Annual Conference in Hamburg, Germany, September 20–23

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — Sept. 16, 2005 — Global ePoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEPT – News), a leading manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, law enforcement, industrial and commercial markets, today announced its Aviation Division, known as Global Airworks, will unveil several new product lines at the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) Annual Conference and Exposition in Hamburg, Germany, September 20–23.

Billed as the "premier industry event for the inflight entertainment (IFE) professional," more than 1,400 airline and vendors will attend this year’s WAEA educational sessions, interactive workshops and the industry’s largest tradeshow with over 150 exhibits displaying thousands of new inflight products, systems and services.

A WAEA member since 1994, AirWorks will display recently released LCD, Server-based video and audio product lines to replace older non-reliable projector/CRT technology which primarily operate on 747, 757, 767, 777 aircraft types. In addition to a level of quality – never seen before at industry shows such as this – the new systems are drawing attention worldwide due to the impressive weight and power savings. AirWorks recently announced its first customer for the product line and has several additional on–site demonstrations in process at this time.

"Hamburg is an excellent location for demonstrating our new and existing products as its location attracts airlines from all over the world," said AirWorks President, Ricky Frick. "We are extremely excited about attending the WAEA...the IFE market is estimated to be over two billion dollars annually and the WAEA is the only show for the aviation community dedicated to Inflight Entertainment."

Products to be displayed include AirWorks’ most recent 10.4 and 17 inch wide screen LCDs for replacement of existing CRT’s as well as 32–inch bulkhead mounted LCD packages. Along with the LCDs, the AirWorks Media Max will be exhibited. The Media Max is a server–based digital video/audio content provider.

AirWorks will also display In Seat Power Application packages, a variety of airborne communication integration installation kits and other cabin improvements. Additionally, AirWorks will exhibit all three classes of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), along with its flagship product, the Cockpit Door Surveillance System (CDSS).

"We will now directly offer airlines our services as the ‘integrator’ for all of their video and audio content," notes Frick. "The ability to eliminate middle–men in the encryption of video and audio to provide a secure network from the content studios directly to the aircraft is yet another of AirWorks’ cost saving methods for today’s airlines."

The Company’s Aviation division contains Global AirWorks, whose primary communications and security products include the Cockpit Door Surveillance System (CDSS), a digital electronic "flight bag" of all flight and on–board manuals and records for pilots and a Laptop Computer Power System for passengers and flight crews. AirWorks customers include airline major OEMs, such as AT&T Aviation, BAE Systems, In–flight Phone, L3 Communications, and Rockwell Collins; all major U.S. airlines; and all major international carriers, including ATA, Air China, Bombardier, Finnair, Varig, KLM, Lufthansa, and Cathay Pacific. AirWorks holds more than 40 supplemental type certificates (STC) certifying AirWorks as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)–approved manufacturer and installer for a range of interior equipment and systems for a variety of commercial aircraft flying worldwide.
