New Products Include Advanced Security Applications
CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 2005--Global ePoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEPT - News), a leading manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, law enforcement, industrial and commercial markets, announced today that its AirWorks division unveiled two new product lines of In Flight Entertainment and Cockpit Door Surveillance System at the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) annual convention which was held in Hamburg Germany September 20-23, 2005.
The WAEA is the premier event for the latest technology in In Flight Entertainment and Passenger enhancements for the airline community. More than 250 airlines from around the world were represented. AirWorks unveiled its new In Flight Entertainment Retrofit Package which replaces the older technology Projector and CRT systems. AirWorks displayed its new 10.2 17 inch wide screen, and the 32 inch bulkhead LCD. Providing the content was the new AirWorks digital video and audio file server. Though AirWorks has already announced the kickoff customer for this product line, this was the first opportunity for the entire industry to review this system and the cost savings in fuel, quality viewing, and ease of installation package.

AirWorks additionally unveiled its new Passenger Entertainment Appliance AirPlay. AirPlay is a portable hand-held device that has a 80GB hard drive for storing via an encrypted format up to 50 long-play movies, games, and hours of music for passenger enjoyment. Originally designed for the low cost, low frills carrier, the attention by the larger long-haul carriers for business class, first class, trains, and other public transportation was overwhelming.
