Global ePoint’s Aviation Division, Global AirWorks, Receives Additional Orders from Avianca Airlines

New Orders Increase Contract Value to $9.1 Million

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 2005--Global ePoint, Inc. (NASDAQ: GEPT - News), a leading manufacturer of security technologies for aviation, law enforcement, industrial and commercial markets, today announced that Global AirWorks its Aviation Division, has received additional orders of $1.8 million under its contract to supply Avianca Airlines, a leading South American airline, with aviation-related equipment and services. The new orders increase the value of the contract to $9.1 million. The suite of products and services are expected to enhance airline security and lower fuel consumption.

The increase in orders from the airline is due to the expansion of the Cockpit Door Surveillance System (CDSS) to include the cargo hold area with full digital video recording for increased security. In addition, Avianca has increased the number of aircraft to receive the new AirWorks IN Flight Entertainment Retrofit Program, which not only provides quality entertainment for passengers, but also generates immediate fuel savings Also, the In-Seat Laptop Computer Power System will be extended from business class into the tourist class area.
